About Susy Ribero-Ayala, Esquire
Susy Ribero-Ayala has become nationally recognized for her zealous and successful representation in hundreds of cases, including over fifty cases to verdict. Ms. Ribero-Ayala’s knowledge and expertise ranges from state, federal, and international criminal offenses to matters pending before the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). The Ribero-Ayala Law Firm has extensive experience in criminal investigations, white-collar crime, and complex civil litigation with potential criminal implications.
Susy Ribero-Ayala graduated from Florida State University College of Law in 1993. While in law school, Ms. Ribero-Ayala was selected to be a member of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and Moot Court. She was awarded first place in the prestigious Kerrigan, Estees and Rankin Trial Advocacy Competition. Ms. Ribero-Ayala was also selected from thousands of applicants to become a paid intern in the Florida Legislature’s Office of Public Counsel. She was an active member of the Inns of Court and the Florida State University chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association.
Upon graduating from Florida State University College of Law, Ms. Ribero-Ayala became an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Her tenure in the office yielded multiple successful prosecutions including numerous guilty verdicts at trial and a wide array of complex investigations. As a former prosecutor, Ms. Ribero-Ayala has invaluable insight on how to construct a legal defense that will obtain the best possible outcome for her clients, in both state and federal court.
After leaving the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Ribero-Ayala has taken advantage of her experience as a prosecutor to defend people in the unfortunate position of facing criminal charges or becoming the target of a criminal investigation. She has successfully handled cases throughout the United States and South America and has extensive experience representing high profile clients in a variety of federal and state criminal matters. Ms. Ribero-Ayala has zealously represented wrongfully accused clients to acquittal in a variety of cases including D.U.I., Airplane Parts Fraud and Sexual Assault.
Ms. Ribero-Ayala is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Additionally, Ms. Ribero-Ayala was a founding board member of the League of Prosecutors in Miami-Dade County.
